What We Do

Care for Orphaned Newborns

Worldwide 2.7 million children are estimated to be in residential care, with the actual number likely to be much higher.

But we believe every child has the right to grow up in a loving and nurturing family.  For a variety of reasons, children may be taken away from their parents and placed at roadside or orphanages.

We, at Janani Ashish Child Care Center, strive to ensure a better future for these unfortunate destitute infants by nurturing them to good health and finally giving them up for adoption into happy loving homes Over the last 31 years, close to 650 children have been adopted across the country and abroad.

We furnish a clean environment, nutritious food, clothing, shelter, education, morals, fundamental family values, culture, and, most importantly, the true value of love and affection

Care for Toddlers upto 6 Years

Since the last four years we have been looking after children up to 6 years of age. These children are committed by the Child Welfare Committee, Thane. Under J.J.Act 2000 (Care and protection) and need additional care and special food. These children are also adopted after clearance from the Child Welfare Committee, Thane. They may stay with us for a longer period. These children are given pre primary education by trained teachers. In short we look after all their needs physical as well as psychological. For all this work being done by trust, financial resources are built up solely through donations from various generous individuals and corporations, not only from Dombivli but also from all over India and overseas.

We are indeed grateful to all the people who had donated monetarily or in the form of clothes, toys, food and various other articles of daily use.

Rehabilitation Through Adoption

The Trust received their first child in July 1993 and since then there has been no looking back. We have cared for many newborn infants and given them up for adoption into happy families.

We have a round-the-clock staff of nurses and ayahs to truly care for these tiny newborns as if they were our own. Our social worker screens potential adoptees and assists with their rehabilitation. We've hired a lawyer to help us with all the complexities. To look after the health of these babies, we enlist the help of various medical consultants in Dombivli.

Every year, we host a gathering for parents and children to meet our various adopters and learn about the progress of the little ones we've entrusted to their care. We also hold an annual exhibition/funfair to educate Dombivli residents about adoption and our organization's work.
